Learn About Your Credit
 

For you to access our mytransunion products you to need to be registered on the website. To register please follow these steps.

Personal Information: When accessing the mytransunion site, you must enter your personal details. This includes your demographic information such as male/female and contact information such as email and cell phone number.

Username and Password: Once you have completed your customer information the system will prompt /ask you to create your own customer selected username and password. Both Username and Password have to be a minimum of 8 characters with at least one number and one Capital letter. You then be required to select a security question and type in the answer. Once your username and password have been created, you will receive a One Time Pin (OTP) via email to show that you are now a registered mytransunion customer.

Identify Verification: In this step you are required to answer question about your credit history. Example: Which bank do you have a credit card with? Remember that we are looking at your account information for the past 24 months, select an account even if you have closed it, or have paid it up. If you have passed verification you will now be able to buy our products. If you have failed verification you need to complete the verification guide, attach required documents and fax to 011 252 7520 or email to contactcentreadmin@transunion.co.za.

Payment Information:
Select the product/s that you would like to "buy now". This will be included in the product section of the screen. Under the Select payment method you will be required to select a card type, enter a card number, the last 3 digits at the back of your credit card and the expiry date. If the product you have selected is a monthly product then a debit order option will appear, If the product is a once off product you will be required to pay via credit card or cheque card. Click on the next button.

Payment Confirmation: To finalise the product order your personal account details and Credit card details will appear on the screen. You are required to confirm that the information is correct by clicking on the confirm order button.

Product Output: Your selected product will be sent to you via the preferred method of delivery (Fax or email). You will also be able to view the product online under the My Products section.

Why am I receiving an error message on my personal information?
  • Your will receive an error message if you inserted special characters where they are not allowed or when you have left a mandatory field blank. Example inserting the following special characters *&%()$#@!?/><” on the firstname field or left the firstname field blank. Ensure that all fields with a star are completed.
Why is my login information not matching?
  • If you have entered your username or password incorrectly means your customer login information doesn't match the information associated with your account.
Why is my account locked?
  • Your account access can be temporarily suspended if there has been an attempt to logon more than 3 times. To unlock your account please visit the Technical Help Section or Contact the TransUnion Contact Centre, for further assistance.
Why is my voucher number invalid?
  • The system can also send you error messages if the information on the voucher number is not validated .i.e. product selected do not match the voucher number or voucher has expired.
What process do I need to follow to reset my password?
  • If you have forgotten your password please select the forgot password tab. The system will then prompt you fill in your Surname and RSA ID Number, a secret question will pop up for you to answer. If you answer the secret question correctly, you will be prompted to insert another password and to confirm. Your password has been reset and you can log in to purchase or view you purchased products.

     
One Time Pin is a security measure that ensures that only you can access your information. You will receive a One Time Pin in two scenarios.

Whenever you edit or update your account information you will receive a One Time Pin. The only other scenario when you will receive a One Time Pin is when you register as a first time user.
